Olavinlinna will be 550 years old in 2025 and we shall mark the occasion with a recap of highlights from down the decades. These will be classics that have impressed our audiences and made the Opera Festival world famous. The mighty Boris Godunov, Verdi’s Macbeth and Puccini’s Turandot have been especially memorable in our castle setting. The novelty of the summer will be The Last Temptations, a new interpretation of a much-loved Finnish opera.
