The six festivals and fringe events of this late summer celebration attract a total of between 55 and 60 thousand visitors every year. Our festive weeks include celebrations of various artistic genres ranging from jazz to chamber music, and from literature to music videos. We can always expect contemporary circus, a choral celebration, and our world-famous special event: the Air Guitar World Championships. Many programme events are also open to the public free of charge, meaning that everyone is invited to our August sensation!
