Lieksa Brass Week

Splendid musicianship is the hallmark of this unique festival, with international artists performing in a wide range of concerts. Professional musicians, students and hobbyists are all welcome to enrol on our courses, and the opportunity to follow the preliminary and final rounds of an international soloist competition should not be missed. Lieksa is a small town in North Karelia close to the Eastern border of the European Union, with enchanting natural landscapes and a wealth of leisure time opportunities accompanying the festival. This is the largest art music event of any kind in the region, and also the largest brass music festival in the Nordic countries.
