This landmark celebration of rhythm music was first organised in 1966 and now provides a diverse international and Finnish programme every year. The unique ambience of Kirjurinluoto island park, top-notch services and a wide range of free admission concerts arranged in tandem with the ticketed programme attract some 200,000 visitors to this festival annually. There is also a special Pori Jazz Kids festival for children.
