https://festivals.fi/wp-content/uploads/2013/04/Ilmajoen-Musiikkijuhlat-in-picture-Isoviha.png796485Den kraftfulla och aktuella operan Isoviha spelar upp den stora ofredens år och våra förfäders öden vid Kyro älvs strand. Det handlar om familjeband, moderskärlek, seghet och starkt samarbete under en tid då Rysslands brutala attack brände den österbottniska myllan svart. Operan blev färdig till musikfestspelens 50-årsjubileum och har regisserats av Tuomas Parkkinen. Librettot skrevs av Anneli Kanto och musiken komponerades av Uljas Pulkkis. För scenografi och kostym svarar Juho Lindström och Leena Rintala. Därtill omfattar repertoaren även ett mångsidigt konsertprogram.
