Concerts are arranged in splendid locations, such as the wooden church at Luhanka, the mediaeval church at Sysmä, the Theater House, Sysmä, and large manor houses in the region. Ever since it was first organised back in 1986, the principal cornerstone of Suvisoitto has always been a diverse, high-standard programme of some 6-8 concerts. We have remained open to reform throughout, and never confined exclusively to musical events. 2026 will mark the 40th anniversary of Suvisoitto and the swansong season of our distinguished Artistic Director, Laura Hynninen.
